Solar energy education is a great way to help people to understand the massive advantages of using solar power. By explaining to people that there is a much better environmental impact this may make some people want to change their current electricity source. Some people feel very guilty about the size of their carbon footprint and want to reduce the negative impact that they are having on the environment. However, there is quite a large percentage of the population who have no concerns about the environment. They either do not think it will be a problem for them, so they do not worry about it, or they do not believe that it is such a big problem as is believed by many. Some people, for example, still think that the adverse weather conditions we have are just seasonal fluctuations and nothing to do with environmental changes.

There are other advantages of solar power which should perhaps be explained to people. The fact that energy bills will be greatly reduced could be a great advantage to most people. The cost of energy is increasing at a rapid rate at the moment, and to have that cost negated or at least reduced significantly would be great for everyone. Of course the expense of putting up the equipment could put people off. Older people may not see any return for their investment in the solar panels and so are likely to be very unwilling to use them.

However, if young people can be educated about the benefits of using solar energy then maybe the next generation will be more aware and more likely to make better use of the sun’s energy.

The good thing is that young people seem to be more open to new ideas and more prepared to do things to help the environment, so hopefully as they get older the demand for solar products will increase and the prices will fall. It would be great to see more solar power stations being built as well in the future, which is certainly something that well educated children may strive to do.

Quick Tip #1

Solar energy is best for countries that get a lot of sunlight. It can be a great source of electricity and help add to the current supply, providing a cheaper and renewable source that causes no pollution.

Quick Tip #2

In India it is possible for the country to be able to produce more energy from the sun than they would ever use. This is because they receive a huge amount of sunlight and their population is not massively in demand of electricity.
