One main reason for resistance is that people do not feel that there is a problem with polluting the environment. There seems to be quite a large amount of people who feel that environmental problems have been made up by the government in order to have another excuse to increase taxes. Unfortunately the scientific evidence does show that we need to be doing as much as we can to protect our environment before it is too late. The more that governments do to pass this evidence on to people, the better. Some governments offer a limited amount of grants for people who want to install solar panels and this is helping people to become more aware of them and encouraging them to fit them.
If people understood more about how solar energy works, not just the science behind the production of electricity from the sun, but how it can help to reduce a households electricity bill and how it can help the environment, then it is likely that more people would have them. It is also important, of course, to promote the use of other solar powered products such as solar lights, mobile phone chargers, cool bags, garden items and other small items.
Quick Tip #1
Solar energy is best for countries that get a lot of sunlight. It can be a great source of electricity and help add to the current supply, providing a cheaper and renewable source that causes no pollution.
Quick Tip #2
In India it is possible for the country to be able to produce more energy from the sun than they would ever use. This is because they receive a huge amount of sunlight and their population is not massively in demand of electricity.
